Federal Gun Rights Restoration … Restored At Last.

Since 1992 Congress has denied funding for a program that would allow persons with federal felony convictions to apply for firearms rights restitution.
No matter how well qualified a person was, no matter how absurd the “felony” was, rights restoration was not possible. The program existed but could not be used thanks to the funding refusal.
Over the many years Oregon Firearms Federation has fought for your rights we have heard from countless good people who had felony convictions that should have never prevented them from getting their gun rights back.
It is a federal crime, punishable by up to 5 years in prison to open your spouses junk mail.

Now those days appear to become to a very belated end. On August 17th Attorney General Todd Blanche finalized a federal regulation and launched a new process allowing eligible individuals who are prohibited from possessing firearms to apply for restoration of their federal firearm rights.
In spite of the lies and hysteria you will certainly hear from the anti-rights crazies, this does not automatically restore firearms rights for felons. There is still a process and there are still stringent requirements.
But for the countless thousands who lost their rights and now are very much deserving to have them restored, it is once again possible.
