Umatilla County Republican Party and Patriot Academy Launch First Annual Constitutional Defense Course at Historic Bar M Ranch.
The Umatilla County Republican Party, in partnership with Patriot Academy of Fredericksburg, Texas, will host its first annual Constitutional Defense Course from October 1-5, 2026, at the historic Bar M Ranch Conference Center and Mountain Retreat near Adams, Oregon.
The five-day intensive training experience is limited to 40 participants and is designed to provide education, practical instruction, and fellowship centered on constitutional rights, personal liberty, and responsible firearms training.
Nestled in the mountains of Northeastern Oregon, the Bar M Ranch offers participants a unique opportunity to experience a setting rich in American history. Attendees will walk trails once traveled by President Calvin Coolidge and stay at accommodations associated with President Herbert Hoover while enjoying the ranch’s nationally recognized conference and retreat facilities.
The course will feature hands-on instruction, expert-led training, and discussions focused on the foundations of constitutional freedoms, including Second Amendment rights. Organizers say the program is intended for individuals seeking to expand their knowledge, develop practical skills, and connect with others who share an interest in constitutional education and civic engagement.
“Participants will experience a rugged and scenic environment specifically suited for learning, personal growth, and community building,” event organizers said.
The all-inclusive package includes assigned lodging in shared cabins or historic ranch accommodations, three meals daily, and access to all course activities. Evening campfires and fellowship opportunities are also included.
