OMNIBUS GUN BAN BILL GETS HEARING

OMNIBUS GUN BAN BILL GETS HEARING

03.27.2025

Today the Senate Judiciary Committee had a public circus, er… “hearing” on SB 243.

If you attended or watched online, thank you for your sacrifice. You endured more than any decent human should ever face.

If you testified you demonstrated even greater fortitude in the face of almost supernatural stupidity.

The hearing was the usual parade of leftist puppets. Indoctrinated high school geldings reading tales of horror prepared by pronoun challenged teachers. Aging Karens in matching tee shirts who came even though it meant they could not watch “The View,” and elected officials spewing comments so inane you wonder how they found the committee room.

One Democrat House Rep actually testified that public servants across the state were at risk of being gunned down by CHL holders and  the best way to protect them from disgruntled and deadly voters was to…post signs.  If you are scratching your head wondering how someone so mind-numbingly idiotic could be elected, you are not alone.  But it all likelihood she is not that stupid, she is just lying.

As expected the Republicans responded with… strongly worded press releases.  See here too.

Of course there is no indication that they plan to actually do anything about it and will almost certainly provide the quorum the Democrats need to pass these sick and vindictive measures.

Watching so many young people eager to turn over their safety to a state that is at the bottom of every metric, protects violent criminals, and is run by parasitic officials who could only hope to one day rise to the level of mediocrity is truly sad.  But what is worse is knowing the price that will be paid by so many intelligent and responsible young people whose right to learn to hunt and participate in shooting sports will be stomped on by hateful and bigoted Democrats.  And of course the businesses and jobs that will be lost to promote an agenda driven by rage.

The “work session” where this bill will be passed to the Senate floor is scheduled for April 3rd.
