Talked to Sheriff Rouse. You would pick up application at the office. You do have to have an appointment to turn it in, but there isn't one specific day. A volunteer is the one that takes care of the application turn in and it's whenever he can work it in. They do character references and criminal background check. No references necessary for renewal. The only places where you can't carry are the post office and court house.
