We're inclined to give Multnomah County a break considering what they have been through. One sheriff driven out on ethics charges*, another leaving because he could not pass an open book test to become a cop, even though he had been one for years and had been the Sheriff of the County before.**

Who knows what's next?

But there are still a few issues. As of November 2009, the Sheriff  still had a brochure posted on his website that contained errors. We have made it available here, with our corrections included.

The website also gave misleading information about House Bill 2727, a bill that would have protected the privacy of CHL holders. Contrary to what the website indicated, the bill did NOT pass and is NOT law.   This has been removed as of 11.16.09
