The
Second Amendment should rightfully have been numbered the First.
All rights ultimately rely on the ability to resist those who
would infringe them. I have nothing against hunters and sportsmen,
but to site those activities is a moral distraction from the
main issue. It's not about ducks. It's about Free Men defending
themselves, their homes, their families, their communities and
their Country from those who would impose the tyranny of force,
either criminal or governmental. What more need be said?
As a footnote: The Militia referred to in the Second Amendment
was composed of all Free Men in a community who were EXPECTED
to aid in the community's defence. Since then the militia has
come to be viewed as consisting of two groups: the Organized
Militia, (National Guard) and the Unorganized Militia. I submit
that the Unorganized Militia consists of Sheriffs Posse's, Search
& Rescue, Volunteer Firefighters and the hundreds of thousands
of individuals who, everyday, put their livelihood and often
their personal safety at risk to help their neighbor. Who else
are members of the Unorganized Militia, though unarmed? Two
words to remind you of the events of 911. "Let's Roll!" |
